Lago Verde, N関ache, Hautes-Alpes.

The Green Lake, also called Lago Verde (the panels have kept the original Italian name), is one of the local sights, a "must see". It owes its particular color to its shallow depth coupled with the strong presence of algae. Numerous dead trees are entangled in the lake, which adds to the beauty of the site.

It's really worth to go right round the lake to enjoy different views, even if the path is not always easy (fording ...)

The lake is accessible on foot by a short walk fairly easy access from the barns of the Vall閑 Etroite (Narrow Valley). Attached to the commune of N関ache since 1947, the high vall閑 Etroite has a unusual destiny, between France and Italy. Italian until 1947 (municipality of Bardonecchia), she was attached to France following the Treaty of Paris. Some houses form the small village of "Les Granges de la Vall閑 Etroite", all owned by Italian families. Only two alpine shelters are inhabited year-round. Although located in French territory, they are managed by the CAI (Italian Alpine Club). Telephone lines are Italian, as most signs. The small village chapel has a small sign written in French, but some errors that punctuate the phrase made me smile.

bellissimo lago alpino, sicuramente hai fatto bene a farne il giro immagino che ogni dieci passi avrai visto nuovi riflessi e prospettive quindi sara' stato molto duro scegliere la foto da pubblicare.

Such a lovely photo of the very calm water with such beautiful colours. Good horizontal format, that leaves out all parts of the sky, other than in the reflections in the water.

This is a fine little landscape, with an interestingly quirky note to accompany it. I can't decide whether this is a crop or your camera was on "panorama mode" or some such. If it's a crop it does feel a little cramped: I feel the need for a little sky! But it's certainly made me want to go there!

Merveilleux lac de montagne avec cette eau totalement pure ou l'on voit au travers quelle compo et iamge quelle vue sueprbe avec ces tronc d'arbres mort qui reposent deans el bord un p阠heur en fond je pesne quelle iamge.

Those fallen trees on the bottom of the extremely clear lake are quite impressive elements. Especially the one with the stump. Lovely, almost all green lake view.

J'aime beaucoup le format panoramique de l'image. L'eau est d'une limpidit� incroyable dans de tr鑣 belles teintes de vert. Les arbres morts le paraissent un peu moins dans cette position.

beautiful composition, very creative one. I like how you have focused on the lake itself cutting away the presumably high mountains, it leaves a lot for our imagination. Very nice play of the fallen tree in the lake and the vivid reflection. The colors are stunning of course.

Very nice place...I can almost hear the silence here. The water seems shallow but very clean..we can see the bottom of the lake clearly and you have used the submerged tree trunks well as a lead-in.
