Photographer's Note
This is the castle of Tarascon, also known as the Chateau du Roi Rene. The little sign at the bottom left seems to be pointing to the entrance to the chateau. The castle was built in the 1400s and it sits on the east bank of the Rhone River, directly opposite the castle of Beaucaire.
The holes at the top of the walls look like cannonball damage. I don't know when the castle was attacked, but it was probably in the 1790s during the French Revolution, when anything belonging to royalty was fair game to the revolutionaries. The castle is quite well preserved, and visitors can enter and explore it for a small fee. You can even go up onto the roof and see the views of the countryside.

Hello Vincent,
The castle is magnificent and the "pockmarks" indicate an exciting history. The modern sign makes the photo a bit amusing. The photo is very well taken with good light and colours.

Hello Vincent,
The arrow does point in the right direction!
The chateau is very well exposed, revealing excellent details of its size, its condition and the cannonball depressions which you mention in your notes.
The colours are bright and true.
My warm regards,
Bev 😊

Hi Vincent,
The tight frame is putting the castle in evidence. The point of view is showing a double perspective of the architecture of the Tarascon castle. The light ia making the colors to stand out. Have a nice day.

Hi Vincent,
This is a lovely postcard presentation of this interesting castle. I didn't have a chance to explore France too much. This encourages me to think about it again.
I like the perfectly blue sky here and the sign also blue stands out as well,
Very well done,
M

Hi Vincent.
Superb composition that shows us in a great POV this powerful castle with very high walls, surrounded by cylindrical and square towers, add a lot of charm to this well preserved construction.
Very good color that highlights the strength of the image.
Superb brightness and sharpness management, to visualize details well.
Have a good start to the week.
Very best regards.
Luis.
