One day to Rochilles #4, a photo from Rhone Alpes, South

Valloire, Savoie.

Just after the Rochilles threshold, a second lake awaits us, the Round Lake. This wetland is home to some cotton grass mats Scheuchzer of altitude flowers that evoke cotton. This plant grows in marshy areas between 1500 and 2500 meters.

The trail becomes almost congested! It must be said that we are now Savoie side, where access to these mountain lakes is much easier.

Dear Digeon,

Nice panoramic view having the nature is at it's best. I like the white flowers in the foreground and the human activities in the middle of the image. Good colours. However, a bit sharpness is required.

J'aime beaucoup le point de vue � hauteur des fleurs qui tapissent agr閍blement le sol. Cela donne de l'ampleur � l'ensemble. Les personnages donnent une belle relation dimensionnelle. Les couleurs sont tr鑣 jolies.

Bonjour Delphine,

I at first thought the white flowers were sheep judging from the thumbnail. They add depth and their lighter tones contrast well against the darker tones of the green grass. The people add scale and animate the scene. Excellent sharpness throughout. The clear blue sky makes a great backdrop. Tfs.

How I would love to walk in these mountains! The white carpet of flowers in the FG is a lovely element of the composition. I also think that the hikers complete the picture perfectly. Wonderful quality.

I'm certainly surprised to hear that so many folk walk these longer remote routes, but I suppose it's true in the UK too: our long distance paths like the Pennine Way have created a mini-economy in B&Bs, pubs amd refuges. I love the composition here: foreground interest, mountain and blue sky, with a selected few hikers. Without them in fact, I feel the shot would not work so well...

Belle vue estivale de la montagne savoyarde. J'aime bien le point de vue au ras du sol pour placer en premier plan ces jolies fleurs duveteuses, un peu comme si on s'閠ait allong� dans l'herbe pour faire la pause et regarder les gens passer. Le soleil est bien pr閟ent et illumine ce paysage aux airs de vacances. Belles couleurs naturelles rehauss閑s par une superbe luminosit�. Jolie r閍lisation.

I see in your gallery that you love mountains because a lot of photos from there. Great composition with flowers in FG and mountain in BG. The hikers made this photo more attractive. Well done with good quality.
