Photographer's Note
The famous cape of Pointe du Raz (longitude 4,74° W) bears a reputation of being continental France's westernmost point - which is not true. There are several spots in Finisterre which can muster more, and a place near Pointe de Corsan, vicinity of Plouarzel, bears the record with 4,7955° W.
The cape has been selected to be one of 20 "Grands sites de France", landscape sites of outstanding touristical value.
Anyway, the bretonic word raz means a very strong ocean current, which obviously is the case.
If you think to see land on the horizon, you are not the victim of an optical deception: Île de Sein, 8 km off Pointe du Raz.
Taken on slide film with Canon A1, professionally digitalized.
