Switching to summer time, a photo from Poitou-Charentes, West

Photographer's Note

Time change this night from Saturday to Sunday with a change to summer time ... An illustration with this sundial located on a wall of the courtyard of the Town Hall of La Rochelle.
In 2018 we were told the end of these summer/winter time changes... but it seems, for lack of agreement between the countries of the European Union, the end of these changes is not yet planned.

Hello Jean,
A great close-up of this old sundial to mark the arrival of summer time again. The details look great, just as the red rectangle, which stands out clearly. The yellow sun looks wonderful as well.

Bonjour Jean, how I wish that something could be sorted and get rid of the change to the clocks every March and October!
This is a rather fine sun dial, made even more attractive by the sun having a face.
A good sharp shot.

Hello Jean,
Interesting way to tell time, I am sure this clock is always on time. In the US, individual governments decide about daylight savings time, why can't the EU let the individual states decide?

Hello Jean,

This is a fine, sharp photograph, including textural details as well as features.
I wonder if this is a very French thing. I saw a similar sundial on a wall in Roscoff.
In the past, before people had portable watches, sundials would have been very important. (Of course, you need the sun! Not always possible in England!)

How good that we have watches and phones that adjust themselves, without us having to move them on.

fortunately in Brazil they extinguished the summer hour. I hated that.
