Photographer's Note

The Mont Saint-Michel is a French municipality(Commune) situated in the department of La Manche and the region Basse-Normandie which pulls(fires) its name of a rocky island dedicated to saint Michel where rises today the abbey of the Mont-Saint-Michel.

The architecture of the Mont Saint-Michel and its bay(berry) make the place of interest the most frequented by Normandy and the second of France (after the Ile-de-France) with more than 3 000 000 visitors every year.A statue of holy Michel placed at the top of the abbey church peaks in 170 metres over the bank. Classified as "Historic Monument" in 1874, the site appears since 1979 on the UNESCO world heritage list.
