Photographer's Note
A view on former Nort-sur-Erdre gristimill in the north of Nantes under a late afternoon winter light. This gristmill was built in 1898 and was closed in 1932. A gristmill is a building in which grain is ground into flour. They took place of mills after electricty appeared at the end of 19th century. I had already shown you a picture of this building almost 3 years ago on TE but I had a grey sky at that time !

Bonjour Olivier ,

Salut Olivier,
you are absolutely right - the light is just fascinating. Also the sharpness is amazing. What I find most attracting is the fact that the contrast in the water is different from the contrast in the sky as there are different shades of blue.

Congratulations Olivier,
this is very good quality picture by all means. I like the composition which uses the reflection on the water surface to double the impression. The building is actually quite attractive and at the first sight looks more like a castle. Very good light and colors.
Well done
!
Have a nice evening

Olivier

Hello Olivier,
The quality of this picture really stands out. The old mill has some fine detail and lovely against the blue sky. The viewpoint gives an excellent diagonal composition with very good use of the FG and reflection.
Excellent.
Kind Regards, Ann

Salut Olivier,

Cordialement.

Hi Olivier
an object lesson in composition and technique this marvelous shot. The quality is superb as is your POV and light management. A fascinating building that you have captured so attractively and perfectly. Awesome!

salut Olivier,

Hello Olivier
A fantastic reflection in late afternnon light. Ilke the fact that you can see the stones just below the surface at the edge in the foreground and the way you have used the trees to frame the left side. Good composition.

Bonjour Olivier,
your reportage from Iceland is spectacular but I see in general your photos are better and better. Also the pictures which you present from France are very impressive. One can see that you take care about all the minor details of the composition. Lovely use of the reflection here with the fragment of the ground in the foreground filling well the empty fragment of the space. Very well done!!!
