Cit� radieuse, Marseille, Bouches-du-Rh鬾e district.

Two women in discussion on the rooftop terrace of the Cit� radieuse. The rooftop terrace is one of the emblematic places of the building. Le Corbusier had thought it like the deck of a boat. Here, we note especially the three chimneys round shapes and the tower of elevators. On the right, the bay window that can be seen behind a chimney is a kindergarten. At the bottom, you can see the old gymnasium, now converted into a center for contemporary art, the MaMo.

The "dwelling unit" of Le Corbusier's Cit� radieuse originally included many services and shops, in addition to the apartments.

Voil� une photo qui ne laisse pas indiff閞ent. Tu signes l� en effet une superbe image avec un point de vue bas qui donne de l'ampleur, un cadrage bien 閠udi�, des formes g閛m閠riques vari閑s, et l'oeil qui se balade avec d閘ectation dans ta composition. Le noir et blanc a 閠� choisi judicieusement pour renforcer le c魌� graphique et intemporel de la photo. Belle pr閟ence humaine avec l'attitude sympa de ces deux femmes pour habiller cet univers de b閠on. Bonne nettet� et une exposition parfaitement g閞閑. Bravo pour cette composition originale et techniquement tr鑣 bien r閍lis閑.

I like very much this image for the way it depicts the architecture as a setting of perspectives and shapes. Your point of view has given a fine dynamism to the scene and has rendered the people's presence attractive and significant. You achieved superb definition and the figures in the distant background are eye-catching as well. The sky is a very fine complement. Your monochrome treatment is excellent, the grey tones have absorbed the light in a wonderful way. I also like that the picture has a 50's quality and atmosphere. Congratulations and thank you!

Salut Delphine,le titre porte nous a chercher la conversation parmi ces femmes,mais il y a beaucoup des choses aussi a regarder dans cette composition,une longue perspective sur la gauche et des etranges architechtures modernes sur la droite,tres originale comme d'habitude.Belle journee' et merci,Luciano

Le b閠on vieillit assez mal , mais pasles formes de l'architecture de Le Corbusier .
C'est une vue tr鑣 r閡ssie de cette partie de la Cit� Radieuse . Le cadrage est excellent , dans ce format carr� . L'utilisation du N&B , conjugu� � la pose des deux dames qui discutent donnent � cette image le charme nostalgique des ann閑s 50 .

and i like the conversion to black and white too.
the two tall cylinder pieces, are they wood? its hard to tell, but i certainly love the style and look of them.

excellent attention to detail too, with the left top perspective line exiting from the corner of the frame.

I like this, the b&w and the composition. The architecture is really interesting, specially that chimney in background and the women standing there talking add a lot to the shot. The b&w makes it look like an old shot!
