Ricou refuge, N関ache, Hautes-Alpes.

After a good walk on the heights of Clar閑 Valley, the small hamlet of Les Ricous appears as a haven of rest. Some umbrellas show some life. A refuge allows passing hikers to take a small refreshment or rest.

In summer, few holidaymakers reinvest old family chalets. We meet some chickens. In short, some life animates this place of altitude.

That day, the weather was threatening (blue sky in the photo is misleading!) and we were not able to have a rest at Les Ricous.

Hello Delphine.
It was a pity you didn't have time to stop here because of the weather, It looks like such a pleasant place. You put the path nicely from the corner into the centre of the photo, with a good balance between the huts. The clouds are nice, but probably less so further left, and the hillside makes a fine diagonal. Excellent colours and light and generally a very attractive photo.

excellent compo, nice to have the pathway on the right leading us to the cottages as it meanders upwards.
rustic beauty, thats what I call it.
fine exposure settings, I wouldn't change anything about it.

A beautiful summer picture with all the ingredients for the perfect holiday; a fantastic scenery and an attractive hiking road. The road is perfectly positioned in the picture, leading the eye towards the houses far away.

Ce refuge de montagne respire le grand air et les grands espaces. Le ciel semble vouloir changer rapidement avec ces nuages noirs au loin. J'aime beaucoup l'ambiance qui se d間age de cette composition.

Good to see some photographs from you again after a few months lay-off! This is a charming shot of sub-alpine terrain, with the path leading our eyes neatly into the frame. The chalets seem to crouch against the hillside as though they were trying to escape the effects of the weather. I wonder if anyone lives there throughout the year...

Bonsoir Delphine,
Very nice view from the mountains. The footpath leads the eye nicely into the photo and towards the small houses. The sunlight was most pleasant here and brings out the colours very well.
