A close-up view of a layer of ice. Freeze then thaw ... the ice cracks revealing this graphics formed by curves. Curves and also air bubbles. The blades of grass (glazed) on the right give an idea of the scale of this photo.

Salut Jean-Saint.

At first sight, I thought it was a satelite picture of a volcanic lava or winding road of a slope. Now, the ice can create such unusual patterns, frozen lakes or rivers prove to be delightful in visual effects. Well observed and executed, tfs.

Hello Jean, Original composition. I haven't observed such lines of cracks in the ice. Not much ice can be seen recently. excellent picture.

Hello Jean,

This shows fine observational skills as well as fine photographic skills.
The melting ice reminds me of contour lines on a map.

Curves on the ice are just wonderful. This phenomenon is familiar to me, but I don't think I have seen such artistically well organized lines before. Your framing is excellent too, with some sunshine on the right edge.

It looks like an aerial photography shot of a delta in the wilds of Siberia! Only the yellow green reeds at right reveal the true scale. Well seen!

haha...you know what I thought this was? I thought initially from the small gallery page I was looking at roads, a photo taken from high above - boy was I wrong. the cracks in the ice is just as good if not better. we can see the frozen bubbles too. cheers
