Photographer's Note
A double photo taken from the Pointe du Cap Ferret with a view of the waters of the entrance to the Bassin d'Arcachon and of the sand mountain of the famous Dune du Pilat in the background.
A different detail on each view with a boat ... so your preference?
With a sailboat or a fishing boat as a focal point ... so, for me, the sight of the sailboat seems to me the most photogenic.

Bonjour Jean
They both look great but I prefer the sleek white outlines of the sailboat. Did you climb to the top of the bg sand dune? Good comparison of the 2 boats. Tfs!

Bonjour Jean,
That is quite a nice collection of photos. Usually we see two different seasons or views towards the oppoite directions but here we have two visitors and they somehow add a different feeling to each of the photos. Fishing boat is more focused on the work while sailboat adds a relaxing touch.
Very well seen and captured,
M

Each picture has a beautiful contrast and a nice division from sand to blue water on the bay, Jean.
Same POV on different time, guess it was at same day. We can see people on the top of the far side dune.
Bon dimanche,
Ike

Hello Jean,
The sailboat is definitely the most attractive, but the view of dark blue water between two areas of light brown sand is great for photos of any kind of boat. The horizontal shape is obviously the best choice.

Hello Jean,
I can honestly say that I don't have a preference, for the settings are identical and the crafts create different moods.
The sailing boat is sleek and smooth, gliding through the water, whilst the fishing boat conjures up a sense of determination and speed! Each serves its own purpose very well.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Jean,
L'étendue de l'endroit crée de la profondeur. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails du voilier, du bateau de pêche et de la dune du Pilat. La lumière fait ressortir les couleurs. Bonne journée.

Hello Jean,
I ususally don't like such collages, but this one works very well and the composition is a very strong one. Works good.
Thanks and regards,

Bonjour Jean, I remember visiting the famous dune many years ago, so I am enjoying seeing it here from a different point of view. The people that we can see are the tiniest of dots as they walk on the sand.
I like both shots, but I agree with you, that the sailboat is the preferred craft.
Excellent sharpness.
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Jean,
Two excellent photos of the gentle slopes of the impressive dunes in the background with two different vessels in the deep blue water in the foreground. Excellent idea to juxtapose them like this.

Hi Jean.
A dream place this entrance to the port, with the golden sands and the intense blue of the sea, the fantastic dune in the background, I like the photo with the sailboat better, it gives a more romantic touch.
A magnificent coloring that gives a lot of chromatic richness to the image.
Well done. I like it.
I wish you a pleasant week.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hi Jean
The yacht maybe more photogenic but at least there should be a good feed from the fishing boat. A good pair of photos with that massive sand hill.
cheers

Hi Jean
The sailboat certainly makes the photo more photogenic than the other one with nice bit of dynamic sense. Great too how it creates so much more eye catching contrast to the environment.
Well done for compiling these

Bonjour Jean,

Hi Jean,
Impressive pair of shots showing boats with the huge dune in the background. Omit the trees on the left and you could pretend this is Suez Canal. I agree the sailboat is more photogenic. The motor boat would need closer zoom to appreciate the details.

Hello Jean, Strange but the picture reminds me of the view of the Nile in Aswan, with the boats and the dune like in the desert. Nice duo of photos.
Best regards
