Photographer's Note

The ski resort of Chamonix Mont Blanc is situated in the Mont-Blanc area of the Haute-Savoie in the Northern Alps region. This photograph was taken one morning from the top of the gondola lift at the Grand Montets ski area. The whole of the Chamonix valley was covered in low mist.

Je trouve cette photo tout simplement magnifique ! Je suis surpris par l'ouverture f/4 utilis閑, on aurait pu penser que celle-ci 閠ait plus r閐uite au vu de la pdc. Le seul petit b閙ol est la zone inf閞ieure droite avec une partie cram閑 et des ombres bouch閑s. Mais la sensation que d間age cette photo est extra !

Hello lisa, a nice view on the valley with mountains from both sides. The mist look like a huge river.

Hello Lisa!
I visited Switzerland in 2005 and when I was in Geneva I went ot Annecy and Chamonix-Mont Blanc, in France! Unfortunately I couldn't reach the "Aiguille du Midi" because it was too windy and the cable car was not working... I only went to the "Mer de Glace", which was good too, marvelous place!
I love shots from high mountains and this one of yours is very very nice, specially because of the low clouds!
