Stolberg is a charming little town just outside the Harz.rnStolberg was established as a settlement for miners in around AD 1000, although there is evidence of mining in the area as far back as 794.rnFrom its earliest days, Stolberg had been the residence and family seat of the counts of Stolberg. In 1548 it became the seat of Stolberg-Stolberg. In 1738 the counts of Stolberg were forced to recognize the suzerainty of the Electorate of Saxony. The town was awarded to the Kingdom of Prussia in the 1815 Congress of Vienna and Stolberg was subsequently administered by the Prussian Province of Saxony.

Uw trip naar Duitsland heeft mooie foto's opgeleverd.
De mooie Duitse gevels met hout vlechtwerk, de hoge toren en de mooi geplaveide straat zorgt echt voor een mooie foto.
Dit alles onder een stralende blauwe lucht

Een heel pittoresk plaatsje met mooie vakwerkhuizen.
Opmerkelijk hoge toren met een onderste gedeelte van ruwe steen maar een top als van een kerk.

The road leads my eyes toward the building in the background which is givng depth to the composition. The point pf view is showing the details of the buildings and of the clock tower. The qual;ity of the light beaitifies the colors. Have a nice day.
