I took the ferry from Bregenz to Lindau, the photo just before the harbor entrance;
Lindau harbor entrance is known far beyond the borders of the island city limits: Framed by a stunning alpine and Bodensee panorama majestically resplendent the Bavarian lion

This is an awesome POV, Wolgang, the lion prominently high above water-level, keep the guard on the harbour entrance.
Excellent choice of perspective, town houses with red-roof-tiles and the old tower as beautiful backdrop's.

I love how you have composed everything in this scene, especially the great lion statue. There is a fascinating array of structures breaking the horizon and the colors are superb. Really nicely done!

We get a lovely view on the part of the port and the statue with the city together.

This is a really nice view of the city from the lake. I like the composition with the statue and the tower as the two main vertical elements. The light is pleasant too and looks great in combination with the dark clouds.

Lovely how the strategically positioned 'lion' brings one's eye onto the whole scene packed. A capture blessed from dark gray sky which appears natural but the contrast created to bright buildings is overwhelming I am sure, at the same it renders an atmospheric mood. Well done shot, Congrats

Hallo Wolfgang,
I lived seven years in Germany, over 4 in Bavaria but never really ventured much towards south west of Germany, just few places. So this is quite unknown to me.
It seems quite picturesque. I like the colorful houses along the lake. The tower in particular has a fairy tale like style. Nice composition with the lion. Great light with interesting contrast of the well lit central area and darker sky and foreground.

Hello Wolfgang,

You have a lovely view, toward the harbour, with the lion guarding the approach and making a most impressive focal point. It sets a great sense of depth to the terracotta roofed houses and the strongly placed tower.
The moody sky adds to the atmosphere.
