Photographer's Note
There has been a miniseries on German TV recently named "Böse Bauten" = bad buildings, focusing on buildings and infrastructure still left from the Third Reich.
The NSDAP as a party had their headquarters at Munich, strictly separated from the government infrastructure of the Reich at Berlin. The nazis erected two big buildings on the eastern brink of Königsplatz, one of which housed the party administration, while the other was only meant to serve Adolf Hitler, the "Führer", for representative purposes. This here is the "Führerbau" at Arcisstraße 12, now occupied by the Munich Academy of Music and Theatre.
