Photographer's Note
Flood disaster in Rhineland-Palatinate 17.
I went to the city of Ahrweiler, a walled town with lots of half-timbered houses, many restaurants and very popular among foreign as well as German tourists.
The city was empty, with empty window holes staring at the unwelcome photographer.
I went to the river bank.
133 cemetery candles for the victims of the flood inside Ahrweiler district, spread out in mud and rubble.

Hi Sven, the flood wounds are still bleeding, so many deaths in this village that has passed from the good times with so many tourists to an almost ghost town, the lights remind us of those who did not make it and the photo does not need any other comments. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano
