Markt in Mainz

At the end of the last day of our holidays, we also paid a brief visit to the city of Mainz, located not far from Frankfurt and near the confluence of the Main and the Rhine. It is the largest and capital city of the German state of Rheinland-Pfalz (Rhineland-Palatinate). The houses in this photo are located at the central market square, simply called Markt.

Detta verkar vara ett trevligt torg d鋜 jag absolut kunde t鋘ka mig att sitta en stund med ett glas 鰈. St鋗ningen 鋜 god och husen 鋜 fina, s� det spelar ingen roll om de eventuellt 鋜 byggda efter 1945. Bra ljus trots ganska mycket moln.

these old houses looks beautiful. I liekd the ceramic carvings in the lower part or in the top of the other building.. nice view with the people enjoying the area.

Hallo Lars,
De traditionele gevels en de goed gevulde terrasjes zorgen voor een sfeervol beeld.
De meesten hebben hun stoel zo gezet dat ze in je richting kijken. Vermoedelijk zijn daar nog meer mooie gebouwen te zien.
Technisch heel mooi uitgevoerd!

Very nice composition with this group of splendid houses, the terraces are very lively with the public, a little more light would have highlighted the colors and details of the facades.

Hi Lars,
I have never been to Mainz. From your picture it looks pretty. A friend of mine who studies there, complained that it was not a very exciting place to study. Beautiful architecture and my only usual regret is that you didn't have the direct sunshine there which would certainly emphasize the colors and details much more.

Hello Lars, a slightly cloudy day but it didn't deter the people sitting at the many tables enjoying their food and drink.
An interesting row of buildings, all joined together but yet different in style and decoration.
This look like a great place to do some people watching.
