Photographer's Note
Rüdesheim is know for the Drosselgasse. Drosselgasse is a magnet for thousands of visitors every year. Lined with wine bars, bistros and restaurants, it is the epitome of the relaxed, good-spirited wine culture that the Rhine region is famous for. The Drosselgasse was originally an access for the town down to the Rhine used for transporting goods.

Such an inviting shot with great color and lighting. The woman in the foreground brings me right into the shot, and I feel as if I am there. Very interesting details to study. Thank you, Judy

Hi Asa,
you found a very pictoresque and interesting corner. You caught it very well, the picture is from a perfect POV and it is well composed. The row of lamps is loveable.

Hi Asa,
Really like the vertical format and your high prespective which brings fine depth to the evening view of the lovely narrow street.
Rich texture to the cobble stone street and tranquil soft light makes this one a winner.

Hi Asa,
when they built the place they certainly would not imagine the masses of tourists making their way in this narrow streets some centuries later, seems difficult to move in the far end part
Have a nice day JY

Hello Asa,
A good perspective down this busy and delightful little street. The image has a very nice mood to it engendered by the foreground lights. The exposure is well managed and the sharpness good.

Hello Asa,
Artistically and technically, this photograph is remarkable. The lights and shades, the colors and clearness, the point of view and framing, it is a pleasant success which makes gently and naturally to slip the glance towards the depth of the street. Congratulations.
Have a nice day

Hi Asa,
I visited Rüdesheim first time in 1964 (when I took this picture on the way there). I guess it has changed a lot since 1964... This is a very fine picture with good light and a friendly atmosphere!
Kind regards

Bonjour Asa,
Regards.
Daniel.

Hello Asa,
Initially I thought this might be one of the narrow streets of Salzburg, especially knowing that you are a musician. But then, the scene is evocative of so many old German (and Austrian towns). This is a well composed shot, with very good light management. The set of bright lights provide a pleasant focal point. Warm regards,
Bulent

Hello Asa,
This is an inviting and attractive shot, where you have caught the atmosphere very well. A good POV and composition. I have been in Rüdesheim shortly once, at the age of 18, but unfortunately not with a camera and the memories have also faded away. TFS!
Greetings,
Lasse

Hello Asa,
aha, the well known Drosselgasse! Though today an eminent touristic attraction and therefore photographed frequently this photo is ranked among the best, on my opinion. I like especially the really good light management under heavyconditions.
Congratulations!

Hi Asa,
The presence of the people has an effect of scale. The rows of lanterns and of the signs are giving perspective to the composition. The point of view is also showing the daily activities. The light is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Asa
Great lively street scene. Love the laterns down the one side of the street. Good signage everywhere. Good contrast to see the cobblestone street. Good clarity and DOF. Good job to minimize the bright sky.
Excellent work,
Tosca
