Photographer's Note
This is left of Mayschoss station, Ahr valley line, after the July 2021 floods.
The line originally was opened as double track to serve as ordnance line for the German combat against the French. It has been reduced to a single track line since.
The right tunnel below Saffenburg ruin was used for the trains, while the left one took up Ahr valley biking trail. Both cannot resume operation in near future as the bridges on the other ends of the tunnels do not exist any more.
