Photographer's Note
This is a view of the Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus and the new Acropolis Museum, which had been inaugurated just a month before.
The Theatre of Dionysus is less impressive than the nearby Odeon of Herodes Atticus, probably because it is much worse shape, but it is much older (it was originally built in the 5th or 4th century BC, six or seven centuries before the former). In its version later version it could accommodate something like 15 to 17 thousand people.
In the workshop: closer view shot from the same place.

Hello Jose,
This is a remarkable shot taken from a good POV. The vertical format is great adding depth to the scene by including the foreground leading to the theatre. The inclusion of the modern buildings in the background provide contrast for the ancient ruins. The lighting is well managed yielding fine color and detail.

Howdy Jose,
Interesting elevated view combining the ancient ruins of the Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus and the modern Acropolis Museum, then the densly populated Athens.
Attractive after the millenium.
Thanks for sharing,
cheers,

Hi Jose,
This is a beautiful view of modern Athens. You grabbed the chance you had to see such a clear view. Usually during summer both hot weather and smog reduce the visibility and the sky's blueness.
I also like the vertical framing, it gives what (many pros call it) a storytelling composition.
Well done,
Regards,
Dimitris

Hello Jose,
wonderful management and use of the backlight, the shadows show that its angle was extremely challenging but you managed to obtain amazing clarity in the vast and varying view as well as lovely vivid colours. I like very much the sense of height and the long perspective that leads us from the ancient site to the modern city. The Acropolis Museums is so well placed between them. A great presentation, I feel nostalgia even for the midsummer heat of Athens:) Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great weekend,
Ourania

Ola Jose,
The ancient greeks knew where to locate the Amphiteatre they built, on a shell-shaped slope that would be able to include many people for the shows, and yet maintain good acoustic balance.
I like the WS better, a more details shown. Yet on this picture managed contrast view of the abundance cityscape.
Bom fim de semana,
Ike

Hi Jose,
This view from the Acropolis hill is stunning! The ruins of the theatre captured in the foreground made the scene very attractive and the city seems to have no end from that POV. Very well done!
Best wishes,
Gosia

Hello Jose,
Great view of the city. I like the vertical composition as it shows both the ancient theatre in the foreground, the roofs of the city behind it and the very blue sky. Nice colour contrast between the cold and warm colours in the back- and foreground respectively.
