Photographer's Note

I have a certain weakness for things that's beyond of use especially rusty old wrecked cars they have fascinated me since I was a kid, remebered all those old ones that some one left in the forest a dream for a 6 year old kid but maybe not for a mother. this one I found at the edge of the Aradena Gorge not far away from Anapoli southern Crete.

Hej Anders,
These colours! Red, green, rusty brown, dark sky - all saturated by nature. The car somehow trying to be a part of the natural recycling process. Also a great view of the Cretan scenery.

Hej Anders,

I share that feeling for abandoned objects. They leave behind a certain atmosphere that invokes certain emotions. I like the colours here, they are intense. The last driver/passengers of the car must've been either too hot or desparate to get out fast =)

Hi Anders!

So you 've around "my" places ,too! (I come from Crete, Ierapetra town to be more exact). It is a "wild" landscape, that around Aradaina Gorge, isn't it? Here you've made a very original capture of it, with great subject, composition, and marvellous, "heavy" colours! Nice detail, the holes from bullets on the back of the abandoned car! Congratulations!

This is so funny. What a place for an abandoned car. It's like in Cars as if it drove there itself to admire the view. In any case you captured it well with the doors open to add to the atmosphere. The strong saturated colours and heavy contrasts combine to make it pretty dynamic.
