Back to childhood, a photo from Iraklion, Crete

Photographer's Note

I was strolling in Iraklion during a torrid afternoon when I saw this lonely good looking young woman who apparently didn't resist reminding her childhood times. Besides the situation, I found interesting the fact that she was wearing yellow, which did a nice combination with the blue of the sea and her blonde hair.

This picture could be the cover of a best-selling book.
There is a certain sadness in the scene. The grown up woman memorizing her lost youth in a beautiful but desolated surrounding.
I think this picture is really a work of art. Well done.

What a fantastic shot! I could go over the many details that make this work so well, but you've captured something much more meaningful in reality...that delightful and unassuming spirit of childhood. No matter how old we become or how professional we may be, it's an inner reflection and moments such as this which bring about fond memories of simpler times. Well composed photo, Jose. Very beautiful.
If you had said that it was a constructed photo I would have believed it right away. The ship on the horizon is important too in the story.

excellent rule of thirds here, especially with the placement of the horizon line - i appreciate that attention to detail.

such a fine placement of the play area, with an Ocean view :)

I don't blame the lady at all, sometimes its nice to revisit your youth :)

Maybe was these lady depth in her fantasy and maybe hope that a youngman her came keep company!
Depth and perspective are perfect also the colours make these picture attractive.

You captured a very special mood here with this lonely grown-up on a swing. Great light and colours. The yellow of the lady's dress is particularly attractive against the brownish and blue background.

Very bright sunlight and the young lady was playing this park adjacent to the sea shore, nicely shot it with well composition and sharpness, background of deep blue sea exhibited the subject more vivid and color contrast.

You made a very elegant composition from your good observation. The woman brings a lot of life to the rather sterile playground, and the fact that she is an adult creates a special atmosphere in this empty place. I also like the horizontal crop which suits the composition very well. The distant ferry is another nice detail. The strong light and contrasts and the distinct colours all contriobute to the excellent result.
