Ayia Marina, Leros.
The weather has been very funny on Leros these last weeks changing very abruptly from one minute to the other. Seeeking shelter after a sudden storm broke out within seconds, I stood at a doorway and watched the rain. After another few seconds, while it was still raining, the sun smiled again on us and offered us two lovely rainbows on the harbour of Ayia Marina. (There's an ATM at the end of the second rainbow...)

LOL Ourania. This is a lovely image with good colour and composition and a lovely softness because of the rain. I think I still prefer a pot of gold at the end of my rainbow.

the light in your picture is superb and along with the double rainbow creates a wonderful atmosphere. the light is resting very nicely on the buildings and the boat which is well placed in the frame. lovely composition.

The yielding wish of each one of us, photographers, to catch such a scenery, Ourania.
The cloud on back really "sits" on the town's waterfront area, while light was superb on minute taken the shot.
Lovely rainbow, keep trying more catchs alike.

Hi Ourania,

I love the double rainbow in this picture. Maybe I would run a noise reduction program on the sky or simply blur selected parts of it. I like also the dappled sunlight on the water at right. Well composed & good color. Tfs!

What a fabulous moment you've catched, lucky you my friend. The twin rainbows look fantastic in the heavily dramatic sky. I read your notes with great interest and liked the association with the ATM. They say "money opens any door", isn't that correct?

Everytime you post a photo,I rush on the exif data to check if it is possible that it has been taken nowadays,when it's winter in my country only 2000 km north of yours...

What a beautiful name you have!

And as if one rainblow is not enough, you present us with this gift of two rainbows. Funny to note that there is indeed a pot of gold (the ATM) at the end of it. A beautifully composed photo, with lovely colours. There is a little noise to the image. Have you downloaded Neat Image, which is free, and is fantastic for reducing noise.

I like the idea of ATMs at end of rainbows. With a double rainbow in this instance that prospect is even enriched. This is a well composed shot, with lovely post-rain sunshine.

although the overall quality of the photo is not the greatest, as we can see some noise in the sky, its the rainbow and lighting that make the shot.

finding rainbows is not an easy task!
and when its combined with an elegant marina scene, its hard to beat.

This is a real nature beauty and you've brought the colours out very well with the exposure in mix lighting condition in this shot is just spot on. Spectacular double rainbows! One Rainbow seems to me all nice, but you had two:
a beautiful moment. The dark sky with the warm
Sunlight is also a nice combination. The layers
and in the picture and the diagonal lines on the
forground creates a nice depth. One little note:
watch out for the noise.

ogni tanto mi piace andare a vedere le foto dei tempi passato, quando io ancora non ero presente in TE e con l'occasione riesco a trovare foto bellissime che i miei amici hanno presentato e delle quali ignoravo del tutto l'esistenza.
Andando a curiosare nella tua gallery ho trovato alcune foto bellissime, ma per farti gli auguri per il prossimo Natale ho scelto questo pensando che l'arcobaleno possa essere interpretato come un segno di fortuna e di speranza per un futuro ancora migliore.
La foto � straordinaria sia nella composizione che nei coloriche alternano la radiosa luce del sole al grigio delle nuvole e della pioggia.
Il soggetto appare in tutti i colori migliori e rimane l'incanto di un doppio arcobaleno a ravvivare una scena altrimenti assai triste.
Complimenti per l'eccezionalit� del momento ripreso e per come hai saputo gestire con calma il tutto per uno scatto superlativo.
