Photographer's Note

The pillar that held the shed of a tiny cottage in Crithoni is showered by the blossoms of an almond tree that has grown next to it. Although the plot is very well maintained, the almond tree seems to have never been trimmed and looks like a shrub, branches growing even from the lower part of its trunk.

Hello Ourania,
I can imagine worse looking shrubs than a blossoming almond tree. This one has grown amazingly and provided you with quite an original photo. I like the light seeping through the branches and brightening the green grass behind the tree.

The delicately coloured almond blossoms are a delight to view and here they are growing in abundance around the nicely textured stone pillar. Lovely lights and excellent sharpness. Nature at her best.

Une belle composition qui donne vraiment le go鹴 de partir pour la Gr鑓e. Ici, c'est la neige et le froid encore tandis que chez toi, c'est les arbres en fleurs. Quel beau contraste.

In the miniature, I thought the pole was a tree trunk ! They don't trim the almond tree ! So much the better, because tha shower of bloom looks fantastic !
