An olive tree at the edge of a small olive grove in Crithoni. There are houses and ruins nearby as well as a wide meadow, a very narrow uphill road, neighbours going up and down the road, crows and even seagulls.

the yellow oxalis in the Fg are closed : no sun this day . But a fine atmosphere under this cloudy sky . And a simple , but chraming composition , with this elegant olive tree as main element , and attractive contrasts .

was it really windy this day? the flowers in the lower fg seem to be moving alot. love Olive Trees, they're so beautiful don't you think? its a wonderful sight how the branches arch upwards, yet the trunk area in the middle is slim. really enjoy the contrast between the grey skyline and green grass too. cheers

I like the low POV, close to the ground, which you chose and which includes the yellow spring flowers very well in the foreground. The composition is very good with the right hand placement of the tree. I like the contrast between the yellow foreground and the cloudy sky.

This is a simple but very elegant and beautiful composition. Olive trees seem to have a kind of dignity, similar to oaks, probably because they can get so old and have played such an important part in human history since ancient times. There is an excellent balance between the nearest tree, the green and yellow field and the dark clouds. It's a very harmonious photo.

Olive trees have the ability to endure all kind of weather, and also have a very large distribution throughout the Mediterranean countries.
A view upwards show how the tree stand against the cloudy sky, and wind blowing is notable on the ground yellow flowers.

This photo also seems like a dream sequence to me. There is something about the movement of the grass and daffodils that has created such an ethereal quality to the image. Beautiful muted colours and a dramatic sky. The details captured in the olive trees are yet another emblem we associate with Greece. Excellent work, thanks for sharing.
