Agria (Greek: Αγριά) is a town and a former municipality in Magnesia, Thessaly, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Volos, of which it is a municipal unit.[2] It lies on the Pelion peninsula about 7 km from Volos.

There are some different opinions about the town's name. Some believe that the name comes from wild olive trees (Agrielies) (Αγριελιές), or a small plant named "Agriada" (Greek: Αγριάδα). A scholar named Patroklos Palamidas from the nearby village of Lechonia said that the name originated from an ancient temple, which existed in the region and was dedicated to Agrea Dimitra (Greek: Αγραία Δήμητρα).

This simple shot is about perspective and depth you have achieved here in wonderful colors, light, shadow and contrast to blue sky, but it's the speck of red puts this into context as strong focal making this image stands out. The composition works well given the circumstances with strong diagonals. Well done, TFS

a place i remember so well, cause we lived during our holidays in Greece in that nearby village of Lechonia, several years ago..and we spent some time too here in Agria when going to the local markets..

I see a sort of fish on a bar. Grilled Greek seafood is tasty. By the way, Greek style yogurt is very popular here.
