The Varlaam Monastery of Meteora.
The Thessaly Plain, near the Pineios river and the Pindus Mountains, in central Greece.
The nearest town is Kalambaka.
The Meteora – is one of the largest and most important complexes of eastern Orthodox monasteries in Greece.
The name “meteora” means “rocks suspended in the air” between the heaven and the earth.
Initially there were 24 monasteries.There are only 6 monasteries now.
This is an amazing and unique place ...
