Photographer's Note
I was never good at avoiding clichés and in Athens it is even harder to do it, except for the Parthenon, which seems to be in (re)construction all the time these last years, so it's hard to avoid having cranes and scaffolds inside the frame; I guess if there were no scaffolds, the hordes would still make the photographers' life miserable.
I'll hardly resist making one post of the Parthenon, happily or sadly I have only one candidate, but until there, I present you its neighbour, the Erectheion, also known as Erechtheum. The temple is less famous than a part of it, the Porch of the Caryatids, which lies on the back of the wall seen on the left. The temple was built in the late 5th century BC, about 20 years after the Parthenon. It was consecrated to Erechtheus, a mythological early king of Athens, son of the gods Hephaestus and Gaia (Athena also participates in the legend).
• WS #1 - Wide view from the opposite side, that of the Porch of the Caryatids.
• WS #2 - Another, slanted, POV.

Hello Jose -
I am not sure which image I prefer. WS 2 shows us a more touristy scene with the whole temple and the environment. Well exposed considering the harsh lighting conditions. WS 1 shows us more of the temple details, which I kind of prefer, but the inclusion of tourist parts is a bit distracting. I know an image without tourists is impossible but I would have tried to work with them in my composition. The main scene is well exposed, etc., etc., but something is missing and I am not sure what it is. I guess it is a great vacation shot and rememberance of your trip to Athens.
Thank you for sharing.

Hello Jose,
they are three splendid images, perhaps you did well to post this one for the magnificent POV and the very pleasant contrast of colours with the blue sky.
Congratulations and TFS dear friend.
Best regards.

Hola Jose.
Good, good and nice work.
The composition is simple but nice. The vertical lines and the contrast of colours looks great too.
Regards.

Hi Jose,
Shining under the bright sunlight, the temple still with a radiant look like at past age, good WS to show the temple from different pov, I like the statues in traditional clothes, thanks for sharing the historical temple.

Buen trabajo.
Abrazos a ti y tu bella familia.

Hello José!
Congratulations on this great job!
I like very much the framing, the contrast on the blue sky and the absolute DoF. The shadows on the pillars write perfectly!
Greetings from Greece,
Athanasios.
