Carlos coco was quicker than me posting a panorama of the Acropolis despite he was there almost a month after me. But I had this POV and I choose a better hour, with much more light, after all, who would think about shooting when it's neither day nor night?

While the POV of Carlo's post is from the Southwest of the Acropolis, this one is from Northwest. I was standing near the beautiful Temple of Hephaestus, which many label as the best preserved ancient Greek temple, which lies in the Ancient Agora, the political, and later also commercial, centre of of ancient Athens. The area is now a park named after Thiseio, which is also another name of the temple of Hephaestus.

The long white building in the middle is the Stoa of Attalos. The hill on the left is Lykavittos and I guess you all recognise the rocky hill on the right.

The image is a stitch of 3 horizontal shots.

Hi Jose

lovely horizontal lines, matching the wide panoramic view.
buildings are light nicely with sharpness.
I paticularily like the bushes on the right in the foreground, giving us the viewer a sense of the terrain.

- Joli vue panoramique sur la ville mythique ou l'ancien voisine avec le moderne, personnelement je trouve que ce long b鈚iment long dont tu parles, casse un peu l'harmonie de l'ensemble mais il est l� depuis longtemps on n'y peu rien ;o) en tout cas, bravo pour cette belle image Jos� !

Hello Jose -

A nice scene for sure with the Acropolis on the right and Athens on the left. The ancient market looks like and orchard now - surprising to say the least. I expected it to look more the Forum in Rome, a field of ancient ruins. I notice a touch of polarization on the right and none on the left. When doing a pano it is best to leave off the polarizer for consistent toning of the scene. The polarization effect can be added in PP for a smoother result.

Impresionante panoramica donde has cogido lo mas importante de esta ciudad antigua en una sola toma (bueno tres..), muy util la informacion de la nota, me he estado un buen rato curioseando en la wikipedia.

Los colores te han quedado muy naturales y da la sensancion y las ganas de estar alli, bonito paraje.

Este belo panorama devia aparecer primeiro numa s閞ie de fotos de Atenas. Digo eu, que n鉶 tenho a ver com a vontade do autor.
Talvez cortasse um pouco nesses arbustos � direita e mostrasse um pouco mais � esquerda.
Esperava, num panorama destes, ver aquela polui玢o que frequentemente paira sobre Atenas. Felizmente isso n鉶 se verifica, ou fizeste uma boa limpeza no c閡.

Panoramas, beside being fine (when they are like here) are highly informative and just in the best spirit of TE. I do like them a lot because they show me the place as if I was there. Here I like the clarity of the image and the well chosen pov. You can see how Athens is spread at the feet of Acropolis and smell the fine Mediterranean atmosphere.

Un superbe panorama sur cette antique cit� parfaitement conserv閑. En version large c'est un v閞itable plaisir de se promener sur dans ce paysage tant la qualit� de l'image est bonne notamment dans le piqu�. La lumi鑢e estivale est tr鑣 bien g閞閑... et en plus la lune que l'on voit parfaitement vient s'inviter juste au-dessus de l'Acropole. Magnifique composition et merci pour les photos suppl閙entaires ainsi que la note toujour int閞essante.

Un paysage tr鑣 attrayant, je me sens p閚閠rer � l'int閞ieur dui d閏or dans la version large.
Essaye s'il te plait de ne pas utiliser de filtre polarisant, cela cr閑 une variation de tons sur le ciel.
L'option Smartblend d'Autopano permet de corriger ce l間er probl鑝e.

Para ver a import鈔cia da escolha da hora em que se faz a tomada - teus posts s鉶 verdadeiras aulas. Um c閡 desse vale a paci阯cia de esperar pela hora certa. N鉶 vejo o problema mencionado pelo Didi, gosto da varia玢o de tons no c閡.

Pero por ahora, me dedico a disfrutar esta gran foto.

impressive the view of this panoramic view of this part of Athens,especially this one with Acropolis and Stoa of Attalos from the Temple of Hephaestus.I like the lot of details in the LV,the clarity and the sharpness of the scene, as the moon that is seem in the middle of the day on the sky,it was about as i remember 15:00.Informative your note as well.

Ol� Jos�, gosto deste trabalho de procura que fazes pela galeria e das refer阯cias a outras fotos que complementam o teu post para al閙 dos j� complementares WSs. J� n鉶 me dou a esse trabalho para n鉶 incrementar o tempo de v韈io...A verdade � que a vista do Carlos n鉶 tem nada a haver com a tua e quase parecem ser de s韙ios diferentes do planeta. Aquele staoa attalos que mais parece uma carruagem de comb骾o, sendo baixinho consegue ser impositivo na paisagem. Gosto muito � deste verde todo a levar-me at� l� acima ao que interessa. Imagino o calor que se calhar estava por aqui...A tua panor鈓ica est� muito boa para mostrar o todo, coisa que nunca se v� nas fotos 'normais'. At� a lua ficou l� bem mesmo sendo pouco vis韛el.

buen trabajo de ensamblaje de tres fotos para conseguir esta magn韋ica vista panor醡ica de la Acr髉olis desde un buen POV.
La imagen tiene un gran equilibrio gr醘ico y una alta calidad de los colores y de la luz.
Y por supuesto, cuando mejor se disfruta de esta vista en abriendo la LV. Es espectacular!
Las fotos complementarias en WS tambi閚 son muy buenas y nos ofrecen otros planos para reforzar la informaci髇 gr醘ica.

Excelente vista panor醡ica de una parte de Atenas y su famoso Acr髉olis. En la versi髇 grande nos podemos deleitar con los magn韋icos detalles. Muy bien captada y con unos magn韋icos colores en un d韆 soleado.

Magn韋ico panorama � partir do templo de Hephaistos. Os antigos gregos sabiam escolher os locais mais elevados e de maior destaque para erguer os seus templos.
