Photographer's Note
Last week I stayed for a few days in Pelion. It was my second visit to this beautiful region. Last year, I moved mainly in the northern part, this time I moved mainly around Central Pelion. So, now, I have left only the southern part, which hopefully I will visit around late spring, early summer.
The region is mostly mountainous, with beautiful forests, exceptional nature, and some of the most beautiful villages of Greece, with excellent traditional architecture. Pelion has also some wonderful "exits" to the sea, both on the east side (Aegean) and south side (Pagasitikos Gulf).
The weather during my stay was very bad, it kept raining and snowing for days, not to mention the fog, but that helped me take some "diferent" photos. Here you can see a photo from Kato Gatzea a seaside village in the Pagasitikos Gulf, that becomes rather melancholic in winter, but still beautiful.
PS. I would like to apologize to some friends from Volos and Almyros (they know who they are), because I didn't inform them about my visit to the region. It was a sudden, out of schedule, visit. I thought that I could find the time after finishing with my job, but the afwul weather, made me work from early morning till night, under very dificult conditions, so when I went back to my hotel I was "dead meat". Not to mention that I had my wife with me! Now, if that's not a good excuse, then what? Anyway, I hope I'll meet them when I return for Southern Pelion.

Hi Hercules,
Nicely spotted violin in the realm of blue. The exposure info of 3 sec is a bit interesting. A good composition altogether.
Thanks

Merhaba Hercules
the thing I wonder is that you used ND filter for long exposure in this shot. sea is blur and rock is sharp. that gives a beautiful efect to photo.
thanks for sharing

Jassu Hercules,
being on Pilion peninsula, that´s great, have visited that region several years ago, and i also didn´t get the time to be there everythere.. but you are right, it´s really a fascinating region, both sides belong to beautiful coastlines with very nice villages, imho i prefer more the aegean side, the beaches there look for me a bit better..
will watch your new theme surely..
PS.: a very good capture...

Hi Hercules
Bien choisi le titre
la longue pose fait comme si le "violon" de pierre flottait sur l'eau, ça donne un coté un peu irréelle, magnifiques couleurs

Good evening Hercules!
An intriguing photo, a real eye-catcher - and a very beautiful and inventive one. The long exposure time created a very special effect here. Great!

Hello Hercules,
Fantastic use of the long exposure which creates a splendid effect on water surface. An imaginary landscape would be said. Much poetry in the composition of this image, I like much. A superb photographic eye, cheer and thank you Hercules.
With all my friendships and a very good evening,

Hello Hercules,
It is amazing what treasures we can find, and I like your presentation of this "broken violin" very much. I also like how the water changes from green to blue as it moves into the distance. This is definitely an interesting structure, in a lovely setting.

I went in Pelion a long time ago in february. I saw the snow falling in Milina and around the coast of the Pagasitikos gulf.
There was a particulary charm that I found here in the colour of the sea.
Beautiful composition around the colours and the shapness's contrast.

This is a great shot and a novel subject. A simple composition that speaks for itself. Very well done even if the weather was not too cooperative.

Hi Hercules,
A superb composition and a
good imagination. I am afraid
this violin will not make much
of a sound. Beautifull blend of
colours. Well done.

Hello Hercules,
waw, a note of melancholy and unreal in this color palette of blue/green beautiful and dark, and a violin (or mandoline) in ruins, gives us an excellent composition,
thank you for this beautiful poem,

Ciao Hercules,
bella composizione, per l'armonia dei colori e la composizione.
Ciò che hai composto è una idea creativa, di grande effetto che colpisce l'occhio grazie anche al titolo perfettamente azzeccato.
Buon fine settimana.
