Photographer's Note
View of the Erechtheion, on the Acropolis of Athens, built between and 406 BC, whose name comes from a shrine dedicated to the heroe Erichthonius. The porch on the left side is the famous Porch of the Caryatids.

Greetings dear José,
This is a gorgeous shot of the Erechtheion, set against a deep blue sky. I remember well your trip to Greece in the summer of 2009. Just a couple of years later the magnificent new Acropolis Museum opened, and the originals of Caryatids are on permanent display there. If you haven't seen the museum, it is the best new museum built anywhere, juxtaposing the ancient and the modern.
Warm regards, José,
Bulent

Hi Jose
An impressive archaeological shot much to admire and its history to illustrate this piece. Like your shooting angle, great dof, bags of subtle light & colours and the immaculate detail throughout. A striking subject with some other interests around to complement smoothly. A shot beyond reproach, Congrats.
Best regards

Olá José!
Bonita foto!

Its good to have you back in TE!
The famous temple in Acropolis shown beautifully. What I liked most is your inclusion of the excavated stones in the FG...this provides good depth. The contrast with the fine polarised sky is beautifully rendered.
Good work!
Best Regards
Angshu
PS : My participation at TE has also greatly reduced..partly out of paucity of time...

Hi Jose,
The wideness of the area is giving depth to the scene. The point of view is showing the details and the colors of the ruins. The good luminosity is making the colors to stand out. Have a nice day.

Hello Jose,
this is a marvelous presentation, one of the best I've seen from this place, not only for the precise and interesting description, the absence of people interferring, the discreet tucking of modern elements and the partial view of the city. I like very much the way you managed the strong light and the vivid, contrasting colours. In the stillness, I think there's a fascinating, timeless atmosphere. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,
Ourania

Hi Jose
yes, I remember this spot well!
How was your experience here?
We were told by so many people to arrive early to avoid the crowds...um...that was the WORST time to arrive because everybody had the same idea!
we enjoyed the sights but really were turned off by how busy and crowded it was here.
excellent shot, has a lot of sharpness and definition.
love the royal blue skyline for contrast.
nice shot
cheers

Hello Jose. In fact, a world-famous cultural heritage. I've seen many photos of the Erechtheum, on the Acropolis of Athens. Each of these photos is different. Most people are in the foreground. I like the perfect composition and also the excellent technical quality. The photo is made for a photo exhibition.
Best rgds, Wolfgang.
