Sunrise in Ouranoupoli, a photo from Halkidiki, Macedonia

Photographer's Note

Iz Srbije smo autom krenuli naveče u 22:00 a u Uranopoli stigli u 5:30 sledećeg jutra.
Ostalo je da overimo vizu za ulazak na Svetu Goru i da sačekamo trajekt koji je trebao tamo da nas preveze.
Imao sa par sati za pravljenje foptografija, 瀉lim 歵o nisam poneo tripod.

LARGE WERSION

We left Serbia by car at 22:00 in the evening and arrived at Oranoupoli at 5:30 the next morning.
The only thing left is to get a visa to enter Mount Athos and wait for the ferry that was supposed to take us there. Had a couple of hours to make photos, sorry I didn't bring a tripod.

Interesantan i lep pogled, lep trenutak, dobar tekst ...
Lepa obala i more, lepa priroda.
Lepo pokazano sa dobrom perspektivom, dobro uhvacen trenuitak sa talasima i oblacima koji dolaze.
Lepo mesto sa lepim pogledom, lepa panorama.
Zelim vam lepu i mirnu noc, sve najbolje.

This looks like a very nice beach, but in the middle of December it was naturally empty. The pink light of the early morning is beautifully reflected in the calm water and the wet sand. The large boulders provide a good foreground and are nicely balanced by the pier. There is a calm and peaceful atmosphere which should bode well for a visit to the monasteries.

Dobro jutro Sasha, a part of this beach is protected by a rip rap. This natural spectacle is reserved to those who get up early. There are splendid pastel hues on the horizon. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Ha! Ha! Sasha, you apologise for the lack of a tripod, which I had never even considered for this is a shot which does not fail from being hand held!
You made a wise choice to use the rocks which immediately gain our attention, anchoring the f/g, before we move on to the calming appearance of the gently lapping sea.
It really is calming!

I do not like to go by car in the night. But maybe the traffic is smaller. Is the visa needed to go to Mount Athos? I have read that the women and also female animals are not allowed there :(.
