Photographer's Note
This is a fragment of the view which I had from the roof of my hotel in Athens. At first sight the scene seems dark and empty but a trained eye is able to find here a lot of points of interest. The immediate square which is relatively empty with some paths to walk around is called the Hadrian Library. At the very top left side you can see a little building with a dome which is the National Observatory in Athens. On the top far right hand side you can find a well lit and well preserved ancient structure which marks one of the furthest points of Ancient Agora, Temple of Hephaestus.
I struggled with the processing here, and again depending on the screen on which I watch the photo it looks either amazing or ridiculous, so I will not be surprised by any type of comments here.

Hello Mariusz,
On a next visit I would book this hotel just for the views from the roof :)
But I remember from previous visits that hotels in and close to the Plaka were seriously over priced.
There were budget hotels near Omonia but they were the worst hotels I've ever seen in Europe. The comments on the booking sites really didn't lie.
Here you present us a terrific evening shot.
So colourful and with several lights in star shape.
The monuments that we can see here also look great.
Very well composed.
Excellently done!
Best regards, Paul

Hi Mariusz, great job in PP, for me this is a masterpiece and I put it in my favorites. Too bad that the lower part does not offer a great view, but the one above ... fantastic !!! 2 points are not enough today. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Mariusz,
I read your comments on the tech forum as well about the quality of pictures in different Internet browsers. I had also noticed the differences. I always use Microsoft Edge, which has a much better quality than Chrome, so this photo looks perfect as well. A spectacular evening view of the city with great illuminations and wonderful colours in the sky. The lamps look like perfect stars also.

Czesc Mariusz
Klimatyczne wieczorne zdjecie tej czesci miasta. Swiatla latarni z pierwszego planu pozwolily przy domknietej przyslonie utworzyc ladne gwiazdki.
Dobra kompozycja, swietna kolorystyka i ostrosc
pozdrawiam

Bonjour, cher Mariusz,
La ville, entre chien et loup, avec ces lampadaires qui s'amusent à nous faire des clins d'oeil à travers leur éclat.
Une composition de toute beauté;
Amitiés.

Hello Mariusz,
I have a new monitor and when enlarged, on that, the scene looks amazing; no worries about colours!
There are so many little titbits to focus on and enjoy.
It was a well timed photograph, some artificial illumination and just enough natural light, working together, to give light and atmosphere!
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hello Mariusz,
I like the repetition of the starburst lights. Good sharpness and well framed and composed. The lofty vantage point offers a great view. Tfs!

Hello Mariusz,
Evening lights and multi-colors over town and its monuments was an excellent moment taken.
Already darkness fallen on the town, but the sky still golden tones prevailed. A fine outcome.
Have a nice friday,
Ike

Hi Mariusz,
The photo looks fantastic on my screen. Lovely rich sunset colours in the sky, a rugged skyline, and the various illuminated buildings in the photo. The temple looks like it is glowing red hot. The exposure is just right.

Hi Mariusz,
So nice to see those light stars made by small aperture exposure. You don't see them very often nowadays. Brilliant landscape of this classic city. Light just after sunset is so beautiful.

my hotel was far from here, it was located in a dangerous area, filled with drug users and prostitutes.. I can recognize the area where I walked around noon...excellent nocturne shot.
take care
