Here you can see the turf houses of N鷓ssta饀r, a small farm in South-Iceland, not far from Kirkjub鎗arklaustur. This farm is a great representative of traditional Icelandic buildings, but it is most famous for its tiny turf church called N鷓ssta餫kirkja.

Those huts in the grass are so picturesque . The fact that they are not too much restored add to the charm .

Interesting image of these singular houses, well placed in a really wild environement. The church is not one inch greater then necessary... In winter life here must be a hard fight...

yes, that is one smallllll church! :)
this is certainly a very charming place, very photogenic.
love the greens and yellows which dominate the main post.
and the houses themselves are just perfect!
