One more shot from Positano and focusing on the Church of Santa Maria Assunta.
Its' iconic multi-coloured dome is the undisputed protagonist of postcards, tourist photos and paintings by local artists.

Indeed, from closer you can see that the dome has tiles of different colours.
The location so close to the beach is very nice.
What I find so special about Positano are the houses that are built one above the other on the steep slope, as seen here in the background.

Hello Jean,
This is a very fine view of attractive buildings, human activities and beautiful green water. The buildings with a lot of windows seem to have a very special character that I don't recognize from other places. Both photos are well exposed, so vertical or horizontal are equally good.

Hi Jean,

Most churches along the Amalfi coast have bright tiled domes, but this is one of the best. There aren't many churches this close to the beach. Your photo captures the feel of Positano, with its colourful buildings piled up on top of each other.

Hello Jean,
The town looks amazing with those rows of houses against the steep hill. Their colours go also really well together. The church and its golden dome is well included at left, just as the people and boat in the foreground.

Hi Jean,
Such towns built on steep slopes towards the sea look almost always great. This is no exception, and you have an excellent viewpoint here. The golden dome is special. Brown houses with white windows catch my attention too.

Very nice scene from Positano. It is such a photogenic town. Good decision here with focusing on the church itself. I usually tried to take in the whole town but then the church gets lost in this colorful labirynth of houses,

I presume it is very tiring to climb to the upper houses, in monaco they have lifts, but I guess here they don't have. an amazing place for sure. nice view including people and boat in FG.
