Photographer's Note

View over the rooftops of the Upper Town of Bergamo with, on the background, the Rocca, a thirteenth century fortress that dominates the city.

The construction of this fort began in 1331. Many improvements have been completed by the famous Visconti family, who ruled the duchy of Milan from 1277 to 1447.

The surrounding gardens are home to a memorial for fallen soldiers of Italy.

Bonjour Delphine ,
Le ciel a une curiesue teinte grise , mais j'aime beaucoup cette vue des toits de tuile de cette jolie ville . le clocher est peut 阾re un peu trop excentr� ?
Le WS est 間alement t鑣 bien .

Hello Delphine - This is beautifully composed, the Italian flag really catches the eye as it flutters above the lovely roof tops and greenery. I enjoyed looking at the WS too, it shows just how wonderfully the town nestles in amongst the trees. A fine pair of photographs, both full of very good detail and taken under pleasant light. Une composition bien r閍lis閑, montrant cette multitude de toitures qui s'inclinent dans toutes les directions. Il y a un 閝uilibre qui s'installe entre la fortification au sommet et le clocher qui s'閘鑦e de l'autre c魌�.
