The scooter, a photo from Milan, Lombardia

Photographer's Note

Wisely parked in the middle of the street, this scooter is waiting for its owner. The emptiness and calm I felt by passing through the street that leads to La Scala (which can be seen at the bottom) may seem surprising in this city of nearly 1,324,000 inhabitants.

I loved that car park, with its unusual location in the middle of the street, with this isolated scooter.

Difficult light conditions , so I preferred to boost contrast (and thus burn out the sky), to add intensity.

Le choix du noir et blanc est parfait pour faire ressortir les contrastes. L'閐ifice du premier plan ressort � merveille.
Quant au scooter, il tr鬾e, sans soucis sur cette place pratiquement vide.
Bien vu 間alement l'閐ifice de la Scala.

Hello Delphine,
Great subject matter with the isolated scooter,the lines on the road and the old architecture. The white sky does not matter too much as it is in b/w. Was there any detail in the sky that could have been saved through some selective post-processing? A sharp image and super composition.
