Photographer's Note

An image of the Temple "D" of Selinunte, which sees it entirely.

Selinunte is located in the province of Trapani, near the border with the province of Agrigento.

Along with the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, the archaeological site of Selinunte is a great testimony of the Greek settlements in Sicily.

The old temples are a very nice old architecture with a lot of respect for our grand-grandparents.
A perfect angle choice.
An excellent depth and perspective image, and lovely panorama view about the area.
Composition and presentation are very well.

A view of the temple from the corner as you have caught, I believe also is the best possible vantage point (2-point perspective) you could have employed. The light is fantastic. The textures of the stones, the carvings, the deep shadows and the colors are all first rate. I have visited Taormina on many occasions, but it is Siracusa, Trapani and Agrigento that I want to see most.

I love your presentation of this great archaeological site... I like the fact that I can see the whole structure and people in the photo help determine scale...
Cloud or two in the sky might improve the photo but I believe it was out of your hands...

Ah, Selinunte. I was there more than thirty years ago. Amazing temple, so well preserved. superb presentation, Colours, sharpness, composition, all first class. And what a fascinating place!

Un'edifice meravigliosa. Molto somigliante di quella vicino Paestum. Ottimo taglio stretto e POV basso. La gente sembrano come formiche in confronto dei rovini.
