Venice is perfect to be seen in a rainy day when most of the tourists rather stay inside. So, the squares and the streets are a kind of empty.

Hello Daniel,
Venice is beautiful whatever the weather; but you are right it is much better when the tourists are not out in such great numbers. Interesting and well realised daily life image from La Serenissima. The rainy atmosphere is nicely evoked with the umbrellas and the glistening pavement.

Hello Daniel,
Most times the rain is clearing the air and the surrounding looking brighter: that's exactly what was seen here.
A neat view of this corner while raingning, the parasoles added nice green tone against the town houses.

Rainy days don't necessarily mean boring photos. This is quite nice with the wet ground, mild light and the market stalls crowding under the umbrellas and tarpaulins.

The weather in Venice is not good, but very wet with the much rain.
We see few people on the street but a lovely old facade in background.
But you did very well.
An excellent composition, nice presentation too.

Hordes of people won't be in your way on a rainy day like this and despite the rain and grey sky, the photo is still really attractive and gives a great impression of a lesser known part of Venice. The variety of facades is interesting and the market stall is a nice addition to the foreground.

I think we have too little pictures in the rain at TE. Indeed we can better see the surrounding without all the tourists, but it also gives a special atmosphere and deeper colours.
It is fun to see how all the merchandise is protected against the bad weather.

Hello Daniel,

Even the prettiest places experience rain!
I must admit, like you, I would enjoy exploring and photographing this beautiful location when many tourists would be indoors!
The buildings still look attractive; we can also see how well the traders deal with adverse conditions!
I do like how the wet pavement shines and glistens.
WE can even detect the rain splashes in the puddles!

Hello my yesterday neighbour,

when I see the picture like this, at once I murmur Aznavour song Que c'est triste Venice. .. I am not sure if Venice is perfect to be seen in rainy day, but for sure it looks beautiful and nicer without tourists. But they go in fact in most visited place, enough to go somewhere a bit away and it can be empty or with locals only.

Never put your camera away just because it is raining, it's ncely done with rainy atmosphere and the benefit of a dull day. The figs add liveliness, all in all though a lovely drop of colour and well composed too. Congrats
