Photographer's Note

Coming by rail, road or air, the city of Bergamo ( Berghem in bergamasque language) strucks by its structure. We distinguish the modern city, the Lower Bergamo, and the upper town, the Citt� alta.
Citt� alta includes almost all the historical monuments of the city : we can see a sample here.
From left to right: the bell tower of the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore, the Dome of the Sant'Alessandro Cathedral, the campanile of San Pancrazio (in the foreground), the tower of Gombito and the Companone.

The picture is taken from the Rocca, a medieval fortress that dominates the Citt� alta. The gardens are home to a memorial to fallen soldiers for Italy.
The construction of this fort began in 1331. Many improvements were carried out by the famous Visconti family, who ruled the duchy of Milan from 1277 to 1447.

Ce sont des d閠ails architecturaux magnifiques!
C'est une photo vraiment belle et attrayante!
J'ai aim� beaucoup surtout le noir & blanc, le format horizontal, le pdv choisi, la compo et la nettet�!

belle photo N&B sur les clochers de cette ville que je ne connais pas, et qui donne envie d'aller visiter. Sur un plan technique tu aurais du choisir une plus petite ouverture ce qui aurait probablement diminuer la clart� du ciel

Bonjour Delphine,

Beautiful shot, I think you make a good choice to present it in black and white. It makes the over exposed sky seem purposeful and intended, and maybe it is. Great details and texture of the architecture and realy beautiful composition.

mi piace molto la resa di questa foto. il bianco e nero � molto bello e anche il cielo cos� chiaro in questo contesto non disturba affatto, al contrario ci sta davvero bene. infine trovo molto elegante la fila delle tegole in primo piano. Bergamo � una citt� molto bella, che ho visitato una sola volta e che le tue foto mi hanno fatto venire voglia di rivedere.
