Photographer's Note

The door San Giacomo is one of the main access roads to Citt� alta. It is the largest and most ornate of the four gates that pierce the walls of Bergamo.

Built in the second half of the sixteenth century it was made entirely of white marble. As all the gates of Bergamo, it bears on its front, the lion of Venice, the symbol of the domination by the city of the Doges in the past.
The door has been redesigned several times in the early nineteenth century and in 1939.

Since 1907, this gate is also known as the Garibaldi door since it is through that door that Giuseppe Garibaldi and his troops of hunters of the Alps entered Bergamo, June 8, 1859, during the second war of Italian independence, waged against Austria.

The door features the colors of the Italian flag to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Italian unification.

this is an interesting night scene! the distant brightly lit green-and-red building surely is an eye-catcher in this photo:)
I like the strong contrast between the dark areas and some brightly lit parts of the wall.
Very good composition.

Nice nocturnal capture of Bergamo with good pov and good ligth management.
The illumination with the colors of the İtalian flag on the gate is great; and you've captured it perfectly.

les traces de couleur attirent l'oeil d鑣 la vignette, et je ne suis pas d殓u en voyant la grande photo, avec deux couleurs sombres et le rempart 閏lair�.

Ciao cara Delphine,
stupenda immagine notturna, nella quale tu hai catturato una scena veramente suggestiva, con i colori della bandiera italiana che illuminano la Porta Garibaldi. Impressionante la perfetta nitidezza e la magistrale gestione della luce, ottenendo un bellissimo contrasto con la silhouette del FG. Questa � una foto molto difficile da fare con questo stupendo risultato, sei stata veramente brava. Complimenti!
