Calvi of Umbria, the ancient Carbium, is also called "the happy port of Umbria." Perched on a rocky outcrop between green hills sloping down towards the Tiber, close to Mount San Pancrazio, stands 410 meters above sea level surrounded by vineyards and olive trees.
Distance from Otricoli only 9 km, is an ancient land, rich in history, art and traditions. Already inhabited in the Bronze Age, the summit of Mount San Pancrazio houses the remains of a sixth-century cult center. The country itself has instead Roman origins, demonstrated by the discovery of funerary altar, coins and more.

J'aime beaucoup cette composition. On a l'occasion de voir ce quartier sur au moins trois niveaux distincts. C'est aussi d'une tr鑣 grande nettet� qui permet de ressentir les diff閞entes textures.

Absolutely spectacular these Medieval and Renaissance Era streets in Calvi. The rugged stone construction is highlighted by the bright colors of the shutters and entire "stage set" is well preserved.

Hello Silvio,

Looks similar to Matera. Good sharpness and tremendous perspective and lead in lines with vp. I like the soft diffused lighting and muted colours. Tfs!

For a change, and a pleasing one, you have given us close-up details of a town, where we can appreciate the different levels, the different textures and the similarity of the stone colours.
The closed shutters and empty streets do not emphasise the name 'Happy Port' but it is still an interesting scene in its own right.
I particularly like your viewpoint, where you use the curved stone wall to great effect.

Gostei do muro do primeiro plano estar um pouco desfocado, em contraste com o restante da foto. Acho esse efeito muito legal. A nitidez � perfeita, como a luz. As janelas vermelhas e a pintura azul trazem boas cores para a foto.
