BETTER VERSION

Rome is well-known for its multitude of churches, 900 at least. EVERY street seems to have 1, 2 or even 3 !!! each being a jewel of art and architecture.
Churches weren抰 particularly on my favourite list of visits, but I got caught in the game !
Rome is like a rich museum if only with its churches.
Today, I have chosen to post this view of 揝anta Maria in Cosmedin.
The first church dates back to the 5th century. But the style that we can admire now is mainly a Romanesque style and dates back to the 12th century.
The Romanesque tower is said to be the most ornate and highest in Rome, therefore being visible from many places.
