Cinzano, a photo from Aosta-Aoste, Val dAosta

Photographer's Note

I shot this one on my way back to Valais in Saint-Oyne (Aosta) Italy. The wall painting directly painted on the old wall (probably a barn) still restits. The drink, a kind vermouth date back to 1757 and the Turin herbal shop of two brothers, Giovanni Giacomo and Carlo Stefano Cinzano, who created a new "vermouth rosso" (red vermouth) using "aromatic plants from the Italian Alps.

Salut Serge,un post tres interessant pour un barman comme moi. Ta photo est une metaphore ou presque,maintenant ce celebre vermouth a perdu la bataille avec Martini et il est presque disparu,une memoire du passe' depuis la Vallee' d'Aoste dans une capture parfaite,bien fait!
