Rocca dei Papi - Montefiascone (VT)
The Papal Fortress stands on the top of the hill in a position that has always been considered strategic due to the possibility of dominating a vast surrounding area. the. Precisely because of its particular strategic position, the castle was chosen by the popes as the seat of the Rector of the Patrimony of San Pietro and, subsequently, destined for their residence during the summer.

Hi Silvio,
Les arbres cadrent bien la résidence. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de la Rocca dei Papi. La lumière rehausse la beauté des couleurs. Bonne journée.

Hello Silvio,
It's a very impressive building, worthy of a pope. I like the well captured texture of the rough wall. The three tall trees create a fine foreground.
Best regards,
Gert

An imposing sight of the ancient fortress, Silvio.
Built atop the hill in purpose to have an overall view of its surrounding.
Picture is clear and distinct.
Arrivederci,
Ike

Hello Silvio, this must once have been very grand, certainly if it was the residence of the pope.
The colours and textures show very clearly in the bright light.
You were fortunate to have a blue sky.
Kind regards, Jean.

Ciao Silvio, strutture molto geometrica che non ha badato troppo ai dettagli, ma sicuramente la posizione dominante è stata la scelta che ha deciso la costruzione qui, cattura eccellente come al solito. Buon weekend,Luciano

Ciao Silvio
I like the lighting here as it rakes across the frontal façade and strikes the side wall at left at a 90 degree angle. Good sharpness and framing. Tfs!

Ciao Silvio,
Very nice light made the surface of the wall so well pronounced here. THe trees add a nice decorative touch as well. It looks as if the building continued that way in the past but was partially demolished.
Great blue sky makes a nice setting,
M

Hello Silvio,
An early high-rise building! The facade seems to be missing many rocks, is it safe?
Regards,
MT
