Photographer's Note
Also from the park of Villa Annoni, which is the seat of the municipal administration, a morning view from the lake. The mornings are still very cold, but it hasn't rained or snowed for 2 months.
The unmistakable sign of the majesty of the villa is certainly the immense park, of 230,000m², built in a romantic style with English features, which still stands out today as the second largest enclosed park in Lombardy after that of the Royal Villa of Monza.
The villa has a covered area that exceeds 4000 square meters, including stables, stables and service rooms. You enter it through a large gate, in the courtyard of honor there is a beautiful fountain. The frontispiece of the building is enriched by Laveno granite columns like the access staircase. Inside, frescoes painted in 1809 by the painters Lavelli and Cambiasi decorate the ground floor.
In the large garden there are native, European, American, African and Asian trees, which have come together to revive the vintage taste of the exotic. Among the most significant trees we mention: the Japanese maple, the yew, the English oak and the cedar of Lebanon of which there is a historical example planted in 1809 at the beginning of the construction of the park of the villa, which stands with its 24 meters high. and 5 wide, inscribed in the list of monumental trees.
The paths, dirt roads, lead through unique scenarios that open "telescope" to the visitor, such as a pond with delicate white water lilies or the immense meadows or even the large vineyard that still extends over part of the garden surface. One of the most evocative environments (where the perspective eye from the villa flows into) is certainly the small temple with columns, open, with a vaulted ceiling frescoed with illusory trompe l'oeil, dedicated to the Annoni family, under which there is a bust of Alessandro Annoni , created by the Ravenna sculptor Cesare Monti and dating back to 1827. The bust is located at the southern end of the park on an artificial hill in a dominant position and therefore visible from a long distance between the foliage, near the long and mighty brick wall.

Hello Luciano,
We are neighbours today. I can recognise this place from your previous shots. It served as a bg. for one of your butterfly photos as far as I can recognise. Anyhow, it is a nice postcard from this place in the winter-time.
TFS,
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Bonsoir Luciano,

Hi Luciano
The partially frozen area makes for a good image and lovely the way the yellow building gives a nice boost of colour as a whole.
Best regards

Hello Luciano,
It may be frozen but it does not seem to be safe for skating. I like the view of the building through the small opening.

Hello dear My dearest friend
have a pleasant day today
the weather in Greece is too
cold with very low temperatures...
too cold days without sun...
Pleasant morning view from the lake
and I am really suprised reading that
it hasnt rained or snowed for 2 months
Unfortunately the snowfalls and the heavy rains
created too many problems in Greece the
last weeks
regards

Hello Luciano,
There is a very large empty area in the foreground, but the surface of the pond is filled with so many nuances of grey, and also reflections, that the view is quite lively. The emptiness doesn't get disturbing, and behind the pond we get a good view of the large villa surrounded by trees. I also like that you included a narrow area of brown grass as a frame at the bottom.
Best regards,
Gert

Ciao Luciano,
Very well spotted indeed. I suppose the temperature must be quite low to freeze such a big pond.
You have well used it as a seasonal decoration in the foreground while in the far distance we see a lovely mansion.
Very well done,
M

Ciao Luciano
It's nice to be able to capture a place like this in different seasons. It would be nice to see them next to each other on a gallery wall. The ice has interesting texture and patterns and maybe 50 shades of grey ;-) There is still lovely Italian light present, illuminating the yellow building.
Great work.
Best wishes

Hello Luciano,
The frozen pond and the rest of the photo look pretty cold, but the grand mansion in the middle, lit by a fine light, adds an appealing splash of warmth. Well captured.

yesterday it was 3 celsius in a place southern of us with frost (in the middle of summer).
nice view of this small lake whose waters are frozen. I presume the ice isn't so tick to cross the waters walking.
take care

Ciao Luciano
Looks freezing. Literally! But not thick enough to safely walk or skate on. The birds seem to have found an unfrozen part. Good sharpness and diffused light with nice subdued colours. Tfs!

Ciaao Luciano,
The frozen water indeed attractive sight, though only partially frozen - but gave special silvery hue in contrast to the surrounding mostly in brown. Nice complement with the villa edifice on the far side.
Arrivederci,
Ike

Ciao Caro Luciano,
How unfair!
Ice without snow!
The ice does make a spectacular, frozen feature and because of the gap in the trees, has a golden reflection from the villa, creating a very natural guide towards the building.
Although I can't see many ducks, it's great watching them cope with the ice, a humorous lesson in skating!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Luciano.
A splendid note on this magnificent park without a doubt, the well-frozen pond is proof of the cold night, a beautiful perspective of the trees with their bare branches and part of the facade of the villa in the distance.
Both the color and the luminosity of the photo are magnificent, highlighting the beauty and sharpness of the composition.
Very well done. I like it
Have a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hello Luciano, the frozen lake in the foreground as seen in the thumbnails is an invitation to open the scene to discover more.
The yellow building in the distance is a lovely focal point as it is set between the conifers and bare trees.
The ducks and geese are doing their best amidst the wintry conditions.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Luciano,
Oops! I forgot this one.
The winter seems to have been colder in Cuggiono than in Belgium.
Where I live, no freezing temperatures so far. Just a little frost on the grass.
This pond doesn't seem to be very deep unless maybe in the middle. At the front, the small boulders protrude above the ice.
Beautiful light on the buildings in the distance.
Best regards, Paul
