Torri d扥rlando - Capranica (VT)
The three towers, of different age and manufacture, rise in the locality of Vico Matrino, inside a hazelnut grove, together with heaps of rubble from other likely similar buildings.
These are two Roman funerary monuments from the 1st century BC. C, and a bell tower belonging to a Benedictine church, dating back to the 10th century "Sancta Maria in campis", of which the portal remains, reused as the entrance to the ancient Hospital of San Sebastiano in Capranica.

It's a fine view of the ancient tower surrounded by trees. The photo is well composed with a nice frame and every detail is well exposed.

The frame of this old door is an excellent point to achieve a perfect frame of the leafy trees and the old tower that appears above them.

Lovely landscape bathed in the summer sunlight. The tower adds a sense of mystery and I really like the frame made of the gate and the shadow at the bottom.

Very good idea for the framing. It adds a nice touch here. We feel like a part of the tour. The view is lovely as well. The definition with clarity was slightly lost, at least on my screen. I am not sure why it sometimes happens, I see it in my photos as well sometimes. Maybe it has something to do with decreasing the size of the image or the browser.

Hi Silvio,
Well framed view through this door opening toward the garden. The tower is almost hiding behind the trees but is nevertheless very important element on this view. Certainly a place full of history.
