Rabbit out of a hat, a photo from Messina, Sicily

Photographer's Note

A holiday in Sicily and we stayed in Taormina. It is a delightful city with many things of interest, not least the magnificent Mount Etna, but it is nice to find something different. There are many varied and expensive shops. This rabbit resided out side an expensive antique shop. We didn't dare ask the price and couldn't have got it home anyway!

Hi David,Sicily is a great source of ceramic creations, and obviously tries to sell them in tourist places such as Taormina. This is very nice and is just an example of what you can find, but honestly he wouldn't be interested in me either, so you were right not to buy it..ahaha ... Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

I would just call the item "curtesy" - it isn't to my taste at all. It does appear to have a bit of age to it. Well photographed.

Hello David,

You can tell this is situated in a much warmer country! I couldn't see this existing outside for very long in N.E. Lancashire, though I would like it in my garden!
Good use of shallow dof to show his clearly against the other objects.

Hello David, Taormina is indeed a delightful city but unfortunately, too many tourists share this opinion. Lovely rabbit with the red ribbon. I suppose that behind it stands a typical Sicilian doll.
