Photographer's Note
Staying in Minori we had attempted a walk up the hillside to Ravello. We got so far then decided to turn back, but we did want to see the village up on the hill!
So at the next opportunity we caught a bus that took us right to the heart of the village.
Villa Rufolo was one of the places to see.
"A 13th century Moorish style villa, that offered far-reaching views across the Tyrrhenian Sea."
There are beautiful gardens there and this was just one example set on a terrace looking out over the sea.
(Unsure what the hills in the distance are called, I tried to find them on Google maps with little success.)
The light could have been better, but I just had to take it as I found it.
One more shot in the workshop.
Thanks for looking.

Hello Jean,
I usually appreciate the presence of people in photos, but in this case they are especially important. They tell us of the impressive size of the areas filled with white flowers. This must have been an overwhelming view, and the mountains form a nice background. There is another kind of beautiful view in the WS, taken when the weather was nicer.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Jean, the photo is affected by the dark light and it is not perfect, but enough to show us these magnificent well-kept gardens, the quality is much higher in the WS, with the sun the colors are very bright, a magnificent view during your attempt to reach Ravello on foot . Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hi Jean
As you say the gardens at Villa Rufolo are lovely and their position high above the sea gives a tremendous view. We were lucky enough to stay in the Hotel Rufolo which had a lovely view of the gardens. I'm not surprised you gave up the walk it is very long and steep with hundreds of steps. We walked down from Ravello and then back up, a very kind lady invited us into her home and fed, watered and rested us.

Hi Jean,
This is one of the amazing spots which was on my list by because I travelled there by public transportation and with a little child, I decided to give up on this. I was in Positano but didn't get to Ravello.
Beautiful garden with the famous view .
I would like to visit this area again someday,

Hello Jean,
I took a bus up and walked back down :)
Lots of clouds in the sky, but you were certainly there in a season with many flowers.
A terrace with a beautiful view over the impressive mountains.
Best regards, Paul

Hello jean, I liked Ravello and Villa Rufolo very much. In your picture the colours are different than in mine here:

Hello jean,
Your w/s gives us a good impression of why you had aborted your original climb to Ravello!!
These gardens are beautiful with their white petunias, looking like thick snow! They seem to fit together like pieces of a jigsaw!
I imagine they will be nicely protected by the front and back walls.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
