Hermitage of San Girolamo - The Coast of Ocenelli di Spoleto (PG)
The Church of S. Girolamo is located on a small plateau near a small convent settlement.
It is a modest construction of the late thirteenth or early fourteenth century, the hermitage is listed in the fourteenth-century Codex Pelosius.
In his pastoral visit Lascaris defined the church as having a small structure, with a stone floor and brick roof; it had a door, a small bell and an altar decently decorated with three excellent paintings and an inscription bearing the date 1464. The good light gives us a fine view of the fresco. It's a pity that there is so much damage to it, but it's another important piece of your collection.

fortunately the most important parts of the mural weren't lost and we can see how marvelous this artwork was and (it is). excellent view of this hidden italian treasure.
